Breckenridge Epic Discovery
Epic Discovery Breckenridge invites you to take your summer vacation to new heights. Set at the base of Peak 8 in Breckenridge, Colorado, this mountaintop adventure center transforms Breckenridge Ski Resort into a family-friendly playground once the snow melts. With activities designed for adults and kids who love nature, mountains, and the great outdoors, Epic Discovery is an incredible way to explore the Rockies in the warmer months.
Open daily from June 13 through September 1, 2025, the park brings together adrenaline-pumping attractions and scenic experiences that really make use of Breckenridge’s alpine environment.
Activities at Epic Discovery in Breck
One of the most iconic summer experiences in Breck is the Alpine Slide. Choose from three separate 2,600-foot tracks and race down the mountain in a wheeled cart, controlling your speed.
At the Alpine Camp, with the Alpineer Challenge Course, balance, bravery, and a good sense of fun come together. Navigate your way through 15 features tucked into the forest, including log walks, rope swings, and other climbing obstacles. Make your way to the top of Alpine Camp and test your skills on the Gold Summit Climbing Wall, towering 40 feet into the sky. Younger adventurers will have a blast on the Lil Climber Ropes Course, designed with kid-friendly features like swinging bridges and log steps.
The Bungee Trampoline is a crowd favorite for kids and adults for good reason. Harness in and bounce, flip, and soar into the true blue Colorado sky. The Gold Runner Coaster is a 2,500-foot elevated mountain coaster that zips you through trees and around tight curves at your own pace. Ride solo or team up with a friend.
If you prefer something a bit more relaxed, take on the Mini Golf course surrounded by gorgeous Colorado mountain scenery. Don’t skip Colorado Gemstone Panning at Peak 8 Base Camp. Inspired by Breck’s gold rush past, kids and adults pan for real gemstones and keep whatever they uncover.
How to Get to Epic Discovery
Take the BreckConnect Gondola, which offers free transportation from downtown Breckenridge to the base of Peak 8, home of Epic Discovery. Operating daily from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with the last ride up at 5:00 p.m., this gondola is the easiest way to access the mountain.
To park, head to the South Gondola Lot or North Gondola Lot. There is no public parking at the base of Peak 8, so the gondola is the most efficient way to begin your adventure.
